This article will help to identify the different 2-Slot BioNex generations based on the configuration of the back panel.

4th Generation (2010-Present):

• Compatibility:
  • BioLab Versions 2.4 or higher.
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
• Revision Changes From Previous Gen:
  • Digital Input connector was changed to a DB9 Female
  • Analog Out 1 & Analog Out 2 were combined on a single plug
  • CE Certified

3rd Generation (2008-2010):

• Compatibility:
  • BioLab Versions 2.4 or higher
  • Microsoft Windows XP
• Revision Changes From Previous Gen:
  • On board USB hub for A/V modules

Important Note:  2 screws vertically or horizontally on the USB connector indicates this is a 3rd generation chassis.  The red circles in the picture above shows where these screws may be located.

2nd Generation (2007-2008):

• Compatibility:
  • BioLab Versions 2.4 or higher
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1

1st Generation (2007 or Earlier):  

• Compatibility:
  • BioLab Versions 2.4 or higher.
