There are several graph tools available in both BioLab and the analysis applications which allow you to manipulate the way data is viewed as well as any cursors on the graph (when applicable).

Main Tools Palette

The graph tools palette is generally attached or in close proximity to the graph which it affects, and looks like this:

The tools are selected by clicking on them with the left mouse button. There are 3 main tools available:

Crosshair Tool: Used for cursor movement as well as inserting/deleting markers on the graph. The crosshair tool is automatically selected when inserting or deleting a point in the editor.

Zoom Tools: Used to adjust the zoom level, or amount of data shown on the graph. See the next section for more information.

Panning Tool: Picks up the data and moves it around on the graph.

Zoom Tools Palette

Used to adjust the zoom level, or amount of data shown on the graph. By clicking the Zoom Tools icon, a sub-menu will appear:

The tools are selected by clicking on them with the left mouse button. There are 6 types of zooms available:

Zoom to Rectangle: Zoom into a particular area by clicking and dragging the tool until the rectangle covers the desired zoom area.

X Zoom: Zoom along the X axis by clicking on a starting point and dragging left or right until the zoom area has been defined.

Y Zoom: Same as X zoom, but along the Y axis. Click on a starting point and drag up or down until the zoom area has been defined.

Zoom to Fit: Use this option to reset the zoom level and show all available data.

Zoom In On Point: Click a point you want to zoom in on. Holding down the mouse button will continually zoom in until released.

Zoom Out From Point: Click a point you want to zoom out from. Like above, holding the mouse button will continue to zoom until released.
