Cardiovascular Psychophysiology Seminar and Workshop
September 6th – 8th, 2019
We are excited to announce our fall seminar and workshop on Heart Rate Variability and Impedance Cardiography taking place September 6th – 8th, 2019 at Embassy Suites Columbus Airport.
With this 2 and 1/2 day seminar, you can gain a comprehensive understanding of multiple physiological measures – from their origins in the body to hands-on experience collecting and analyzing these data to interpreting the results.
This seminar is valuable for entry-level through well-seasoned researchers and students and provides a great opportunity to meet and discuss research with fellow attendees. In past seminars, this has led to the development of new friendships and collaborations.
Speakers
Dr. Gary Berntson and Dr. Greg Norman, both notable researchers in the field, return to present this year.
Greg Norman received his PhD in psychology from The Ohio State University in 2010. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral research scholar in the social neuroscience lab of John T. Cacioppo at University of Chicago. Norman joined the faculty at University of Chicago in 2012 as an Assistant Professor of Psychology with a secondary appointment in Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience.
Gary Berntson is an Emeritus Academy Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and edited numerous books, including Handbook of Psychophysiology and Handbook of Neuroscience for the Behavioral Sciences. He has held offices in Society for Psychophysiological Research, served on federal advisory committees and journal editorial boards, and is a fellow in several professional associations.
